Elkem ASA is a Norwegian chemical company, producing silicone products for the foundry industry. The company was previously owned by Orkla but was in 2011 sold to China National Bluestar Group. Head offices are located in Oslo, Norway.
The company is present in Africa through an office in Egypt and a production facility in South Africa. Elkem has not previously been present in any other countries.
The company offers sustainability reporting as a chapter of their annual report. Elkem AS is otherwise a member of UN Global Compact, but not Norwegian African Business Association (NABA).
